The way we live today is a far cry from the way our settlers lived in 1908. And, the next 100 years will be far different too.

The city of Tukwila is focused on is growing as a dynamic urban center and creating developments that increase livability and access to cutting-edge office settings. As part of the drive for increased economic development, Tukwila is focused on an increased responsibility towards creating an even more workable, livable and enjoyable community complete with a new downtown core

Tukwila will continue to be a dynamic urban center as we focus on the following goals:

Tukwila will continue to be a safe and inviting city.
Tukwila will be a pedestrian-oriented community that supports its labor force and diverse residents.
Tukwila will be a city that offers quality housing and generous open spaces.
Tukwila will be a city with a sense of history and identity.
